Who would have thought that the world us still such a backward place. I absolutely love this article. The punch line is at the very bottom. (You have to know the old testament. “If I must die, I must die.”) I won’t spoil it for you! I wonder how Nina Davuluri is fairing? I suspect she has been able to take it with a sense of humor. People keep ridiculing me for trying to change the world. The goods news it HAS CHANGED!!!!!!!! Go Nina! Jo
What we need is a great big melting pot
Big enough enough enough to take
The world and all its got And keep it stirring for a hundred years or more

Love it. Never heard the tune before.
Happy weekend, Jo, and thank you for helping to make this world a better place. 🙂
Hi Victoria, I feel like I have dropped of the world. Swamped in work. I must be much older than you this song used to be a raging hit when I was young.
Have a great weekend, Jo
I checked the band out on Wiki, and they never made the U.S. Billboard Hop 100 Charts in America, except once (#64 with “Our World”), but they did in the UK.

I’m thinking this band was also as popular in your country during that time, late 60’s early 70’s. I was still a kid. I owned many 45’s, but that was a group I don’t recall ever hearing them before, though they apparently toured the U.S a while back. Thanks for sharing. I love discovering new music. So great to see you stick your head above the surface and post. I’m also thrilled about your new writing project. =)
It’s funny when something is really big in your own country you just presume the rest of the world know it too. I haven’t forgotten yours! Jo
